Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Architectural Drafting Technician / CAD Designer to support architectural façade system projects through computer-aided drafting, shop drawings, elevations, layouts, and production documentation. This role works closely with Project Managers, Sales Managers, contractors, architects, and field representatives to ensure accurate and timely drawings for manufacturing and installation.
The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in both office and plant environments while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare computer-aided architectural, structural, and mechanical drafting designs and blueprints
  • Create detailed shop drawings, elevations, layouts, and production drawings for façade systems and related components
  • Produce drawings based on field surveys, existing structures, and project specifications
  • Develop terra cotta shop drawings, factory drawings, and production schedules
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and field representatives to gather and verify project information
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements
  • Operate drafting and office equipment including plotters, printers, and computer systems
  • Maintain organized project documentation and drawing files
  • Attend safety meetings and follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements

  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of drafting or CAD design experience preferred
  • College coursework or trade school training in architectural, structural, or mechanical drafting preferred

  • Strong mathematical skills, including trigonometry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
