  • Direct interviews, studio recordings, field productions and photography sessions.
  • Edit video and audio content and oversee motion graphics, sound design, captions, color correction and final packaging.
  • Adapt content across YouTube, podcasts, social media, NACo.org, email campaigns and live events.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, accessible, on brand and produced to a consistently high standard.

Production Planning & Studio Operations

  • Manage production calendars, timelines, schedules and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Coordinate production logistics, including staffing, locations, equipment, interview subjects, travel and technical requirements.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations and continued buildout of Studio 3069.
  • Develop production workflows, operating procedures and project management processes that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Oversee file management, digital asset organization, metadata and archiving for all multimedia content, ensuring assets are easily searchable, accessible and preserved for future use.
  • Recommend equipment, software and technology investments that strengthen Studio 3069's capabilities.

Event & Field Production

  • Lead multimedia and photography coverage at NACo conferences, meetings, county visits and other in-person engagements, including internal and freelance support.
  • Develop production schedules, shot lists and onsite logistics.

  • Ensure consistency in motion graphics, typography, lower thirds, photography style, animation, audio branding and overall visual identity.
  • Manage outside production companies, creative agencies, photographers, freelancers and technical vendors.
  • Develop scopes of work, creative briefs, production schedules and deliverables while ensuring projects meet quality, budget and timeline expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in film, communications, journalism, digital media or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in multimedia production, photography, video production or podcasting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full production lifecycle from concept through post-production and distribution.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing video, podcast, photography and digital storytelling across multiple platforms.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects or comparable software.
  • Strong knowledge of video production, photography, lighting, audio, editing and post-production workflows.
  • Experience managing studio operations, production schedules, digital asset management, vendors and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Exceptional storytelling, organization, project management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with associations, nonprofits, public policy or local government is preferred.
