Carrier is looking for a seasoned Program Manager that will lead our learning development and learning system initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Development Program Design & Management
  • Build and manage development programs that support technical, professional, and leadership growth across the Commercial HVAC organization.
  • Partner with Engineering, Field Operations, Sales, and HR to identify capability needs and design programs that address them.
  • Develop structured learning pathways for:
    • Commercial HVAC technical mastery (chillers, rooftops, hydronics)
    • Controls and building automation
    • Commissioning, diagnostics, and system optimization
    • Customer facing and project management skills
    • Leadership and people management development
  • Integrate hands-on learning experiences such as factory tours, lab sessions, field ride alongs, and mentorship with Carrier experts.
  • Manage program logistics including communications, scheduling, cohort/speaker coordination, and resource development.
  • Track participant progress, certifications, and skill attainment; provide insights to leadership on program impact and workforce readiness.

LMS Ownership & Administration
  • Serve as the primary administrator for Carrier's LMS supporting Commercial HVAC teams across field operations, service and sales as well as external customers.
  • Manage course setup, certifications, learning paths, user groups, and reporting dashboards.
  • Partner with IT, HR, and vendor teams to maintain system performance and implement enhancements.
  • Monitor learning analytics to identify skill gaps, training needs, and opportunities for optimization.

Cross Functional- Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering leaders, field service and sales managers, and product teams to align development programs with real-world- job demands.
  • Support managers and mentors in coaching employees and tracking their development.
  • Communicate program outcomes, workforce readiness metrics, and learning insights to senior leadership.

Reporting & Workforce Insights
  • Develop dashboards and reports highlighting program impact, certification completion, technical skill progression, and LMS utilization.
  • Use data to inform workforce planning, training investments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Bacheler's degree in Instructional Design, Education or Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience designing and managing development programs, technical training, or workforce development initiatives
  • 3+ years of experience administering Learning Management Systems
  • 3+ years of project management experience with the ability to coordinate across engineering, field operations, and product teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, especially with technical audiences.
  • Comfort with data analysis, reporting tools, and learning metrics.
  • Understanding adult learning principles and competency-based- development.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Familiarity with commercial HVAC systems, chillers, controls, or large-scale mechanical systems.
  • Experience supporting field technicians, sales engineers, or commercial service teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and certifications (ASHRAE, AHRI, EPA 608, OSHA, etc.).

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
