What is a freelance mainframe IMS DB professional?

A Freelance Mainframe IMS DB professional is an independent contractor who specializes in working with IBM's Information Management System (IMS) Database on mainframe computers. Their responsibilities often include designing, maintaining, and optimizing IMS databases, as well as troubleshooting and supporting large-scale transaction processing applications. These professionals provide their expertise to multiple clients or projects on a contract basis rather than as full-time employees. They are skilled in mainframe environments, IMS database administration, and may also handle migrations and performance tuning.
