Become a Key Player as a Machinist Senior

You will operate and set up CNC and conventional production machines to produce precision components for high-precision manufacturing. You will support production and quality stakeholders by delivering parts to specification, contributing to lean initiatives, and working 2nd shift onsite (1:45 PM – 11:15 PM, Monday–Friday).

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
  • Set up and run multiple production machines; perform machine operations including cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming parts
  • Perform operations using pre-planned materials, tooling, and operation sequences; make machine adjustments and report issues
  • Align and fasten work using standard fixtures; install and adjust cutting tools for the material being machined
  • Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to produce quality parts per documentation
  • Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, micrometers, comparators, and magnification equipment; perform visual inspections for burrs and surface damage
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and accuracy; perform routine maintenance specific to division requirements
  • Accurately perform statistical process control (SPC) and actively apply lean concepts to identify improvement opportunities
  • Observe safety rules, maintain an orderly work area, and complete other related responsibilities as requested
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
  • Minimum three years of related machining experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to set up machines and perform machine setups with limited guidance
  • Experience operating CNC lathes and performing precision machining to close tolerances
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions
  • Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics (may include trigonometry)
  • Experience inspecting parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparable measuring tools
  • Demonstrated ability to apply lean initiatives and work effectively in a team environment
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • MAZAK machine control experience
  • Experience with Y-axis machining
  • G-code programming, editing, or creating CNC programs
  • Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, Fusion 360, CATIA)
  • Familiarity with GD&T and use of CMM or other advanced inspection tools
  • Experience in aerospace or other high-precision, regulated manufacturing environments
Pay Range

$29.60 - $37.00/hour
