Northrop Grumman Mission Systemsis seeking an experiencedSenior Principal Cyber Software Engineerto join our team supporting a program in the Signals Intelligence Mission Solutions (SMS) Department.

This position will be located at a Mission Systems Sector site in Chantilly, VA.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Mobile Development team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of high-quality mobile software on the Android platform. You will need to defend the architecture in rigorous reviews and effectively communicate ideas to customer leadership. Your work will play a crucial role in shaping the direction and success of the mission.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Secret security clearance required. Active Secret clearance must be in place by the start date and must stay in place through employment.

  • Bachelor's in Science degree with 8 years' experience; 6 years' experience with Masters; 4 years' experience with PhD.

  • Proficient in C, Rust, Java, Kotlin, C++, C#, or Python.

  • Experience developing software on Agile teams.

  • Experience developing applications for mobile platforms.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals.

  • Knowledge of software development life cycle.

  • Experience writing software design documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance with poly.

  • Experience leading software development teams.

  • Deep knowledge of cryptography best practices.

  • Deep knowledge of Android/Linux system internals.

  • Experience with Android/Linux kernel development or driver development.

  • Experience reverse engineering with Ghidra or IDAPro.

  • Experience designing embedded software systems.

  • Experience developing Flutter applications.

  • Experience managing Linux virtual machines.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure DevOps.

Primary Level Salary Range: $151,100.00 - $226,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
