Senior Software Engineer, Custom EngineeringThe Custom Engineering Department is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support custom software I/O development, Linux kernel development, hardware/software integration, system testing, and customer-specific engineering projects. This role supports complex design assignments, system-level troubleshooting, manufacturing support, and technical support for internal teams, customers, and partners.
Work Authorization Required: Must be a US citizen. Unable to hire anyone on a visa or green card.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, test, integrate, and support custom Linux kernel, device driver, and I/O software solutions.
- Design and support hardware/software interfaces for custom analog, digital, and communication I/O devices.
- Troubleshoot complex system-level hardware and software integration issues.
- Support Manufacturing with installation, configuration, testing, and validation of custom I/O products.
- Translate customer and product requirements into practical engineering solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering staff.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Experience with Linux kernel development, device drivers, and low-level system software.
- Knowledge of analog I/O, digital I/O, communication protocols, and hardware/software interfaces.
