These specialists help businesses and organizations make the best possible decisions about allocating resources, minimizing costs, or maximizing profits by formulating and solving linear programming problems. They often work on a project basis, providing services such as model development, data analysis, and solution implementation in fields like logistics, manufacturing, finance, and operations research.
