Job description

Operates, monitors, and maintains digital printing equipment and auxiliary machinery to print high-resolution artwork onto specified substrates. Ensures precise color calibration, strict quality standards, and high-volume daily output.


Description

About the Role: Print Machine Operators are critical to driving output and maintaining premium product quality at our Louisville manufacturing facility. Working directly on the plant floor, you will be responsible for setting up, calibrating, and running digital printing machinery, managing ink and substrate feed systems, and conducting real-time quality inspections to ensure all printed metal poster art meets exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Physical Demands: Constant standing, walking, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand/wrist movements throughout an 8- to 12-hour shift. Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment: Active manufacturing environment with exposure to print machinery, UV/digital inks, cleaning solvents, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise. Required PPE includes safety glasses and non-slip, closed-toe shoes.

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate industrial digital printing machinery and related equipment safely and efficiently according to daily production schedules.
  • Monitor print runs in real time, making precise adjustments to color registration, alignment, print heads, and ink density to ensure flawless print execution.
  • Load raw substrates, unprinted metal plates, inks, and consumable materials into printing equipment to maintain uninterrupted production workflow.
  • Perform routine quality control checks, inspecting printed output for color accuracy, banding, surface scratches, alignment, and ink adhesion defects.
  • Perform basic routine operator maintenance, nozzle checks, and printing press cleaning while adhering to all plant safety guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and 5S cleanliness standards.
