Responsibilities
Patton Electronics Company is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician with LabView and TestStand experience to support product development activities in the Engineering department. The Engineering Technician will cooperate with electrical and mechanical design engineers and Manufacturing personnel to fulfill the following responsibilities:
• Designing & creating hardware/software solutions to test Patton products
• Assembling, testing and trouble-shooting digital and analog electronics circuitry.
• Integrating electrical and mechanical components for test fixtures and prototypes.
• Creating and maintaining LabView and TestStand programs for such test fixtures and prototypes.
• Participate in pilot runs introducing new products to the manufacturing process.
• Assist in regulatory compliance testing of products. These responsibilities necessitate the ability to read, comprehend and modify electronic schematics and mechanical drawings as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office to generate documentation, reports and spreadsheets.
Requirements
Candidates have an Associate's Degree in Electronics or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training and work experience. 3-5 years of directly applicable experience is required. Proficiency with electronic test and measurement equipment is prerequisite; familiarity with communications equipment and protocols is advantageous. Candidates must be well organized, able to work under minimal supervision and possess good verbal and written communication skills.
