Job description

Description

Lynnwood, WA | BMW | Luxury performance brand | Parts Counter | Veterans encouraged to apply | $21 - $25/hr

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.

At BMW of Lynnwood, the front counter is where guests and technicians come when they need answers fast and parts delivered right. The Front Counter Parts Advisor is a guest-facing, team-critical role that keeps the service department moving and the BMW ownership experience on track.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Assist retail guests, service technicians, and service advisors at the front counter -- providing accurate parts identification, availability, and pricing with efficiency and professionalism

Look up and source BMW parts using manufacturer catalogs and electronic parts systems -- accurately matching components to vehicle specifications

Process parts sales, returns, and special orders -- maintaining accurate transaction records in the DMS

Coordinate with the back counter and warehouse to pull, stage, and deliver parts to technicians without disrupting repair workflow

Communicate parts availability, lead times, and back-order status clearly to service advisors and guests

Build and maintain strong relationships with retail guests and wholesale accounts through consistent, knowledgeable service

Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, proper receiving procedures, and organized bin maintenance

Represent BMW of Lynnwood with the professionalism and product knowledge the brand demands

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Parts counter or dealership experience preferred -- BMW or European brand familiarity a strong plus

Mechanical background or automotive enthusiasm welcome -- hands-on knowledge translates well at the front counter

Customer service experience considered -- if you know how to serve people well and learn products quickly, we can build the rest

Detail-oriented and accurate -- parts identification errors cost the service department time and the guest trust

Clear, friendly communicator -- comfortable working with technicians, service advisors, and retail guests simultaneously

Comfortable navigating electronic parts catalogs and DMS platforms -- or quick to learn them

Organized and composed under pressure -- the front counter moves fast and accuracy can't slip

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

A team-first mindset -- when the parts counter runs well, the whole service department runs well

Our strongest parts counter candidates have come from dealership parts departments, auto parts retail, mechanical backgrounds, and customer-facing roles where product knowledge and speed under pressure were the daily standard.

WHAT WE OFFER

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Paid BMW manufacturer parts training and product knowledge development

Medical, dental, and vision insurance

Life insurance and supplemental coverage options

Paid time off and paid holidays

Clear career path -- strong parts advisors grow into parts management and broader fixed ops roles at Swickard

Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts

A stable, high-performing team environment at a growing BMW store

WHY BMW OF LYNNWOOD

BMW is one of the most technically sophisticated luxury performance brands in the world -- the parts knowledge you build here is specialized, in-demand, and genuinely valuable

Lynnwood sits at the center of one of the most active automotive markets in the Pacific Northwest -- strong volume means a busy, productive parts operation

Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry

A growing store with real momentum -- the right people joining now have room to grow as the operation scales

Our HEART values -- Honor, Engage, Anticipate, Respond, Thank -- shape how we treat our team members just as much as our guests

Leadership that values the parts department as a core driver of service performance and invests accordingly

BMW of Lynnwood is a store with growing volume, a premium brand, and a team that takes the parts operation seriously. We develop from within, we invest in product training, and we build careers from the counter up.

If you're detail-driven, people-oriented, and ready to build real expertise in one of the world's most respected automotive brands -- we'd like to meet you.

Swickard Auto Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
