Job description

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical inventory audits, transaction validation, and inventory reconciliation. This role serves as a key control point between physical inventory and system inventory, identifying discrepancies, researching root causes, and driving timely resolution to ensure a high level of inventory integrity.

Schedule: M-Th 6:30am - 5:00pm - some OT as needed

Key Responsibilities

· Perform scheduled cycle counts and physical inventory audits.

· Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes.

· Verify inventory transactions for accuracy and completeness.

· Research and resolve inventory variances by partnering with warehouse, production, and logistics teams.

· Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP and warehouse management systems.

· Validate material movements, receipts, shipments, and inventory adjustments.

· Document count results, corrective actions, and reconciliation activities.

· Support month-end, quarter-end, and annual inventory processes.

· Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, as required.

· Follow all company safety policies and complete required training.

Required Qualifications

· Experience with inventory counting, inventory control, cycle counting, or inventory reconciliation.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large volumes of data.

· Basic to intermediate computer skills, including inventory and ERP systems.

· Ability to analyze discrepancies and resolve problems independently.

· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Previous experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment.
