Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Support installation, startup, commissioning, and deployment of new and rebuilt automated equipment.
• Perform equipment testing and validation prior to production startup and customer acceptance.
• Provide on-site support for equipment installation, service, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operator training.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and automation-related issues.
• Support PLCs, HMIs, robotic systems, motion control systems, VFDs, and related automation hardware.
• Partner with engineering, project management, manufacturing, maintenance, and plant operations teams.
• Follow and promote safe work practices throughout all job functions
• Share responsibility for rotating after-hours field service coverage.
Basic Qualifications
• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5+ years experience in field service, automation, manufacturing, controls, or equipment commissioning.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and automation systems.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, motion control systems, and VFDs.
• AutoCAD or similar design software experience.
• Machine vision or industrial programming experience.
