Job Description

We are seeking an Analyst to join our Intellectual Property team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Intellectual Property team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional Analyst. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of the Intellectual Property industry, but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks. 

Job Responsabilities:

  • Perform and synthesize in-depth industry, technology, and company-specific research
  • Review, organize, analyze, and summarize financial, marketing, and other documents produced by clients
  • Build detailed financial models (i.e., discount cash flow, comparable market/transaction, weighted average costs of capital)
  • Develop and communicate clear takeaways from such information with consideration for qualitative and quantitative factors
  • Write detailed, persuasive reports and prepare PowerPoint presentations
  • Communicate effectively with an array of team members, including senior leaders and clients, in a structured and thoughtful manner
  • Successfully manage working on multiple concurrent, often vastly different, engagements
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required, engineering or technical background is a plus
  • Academic success - minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, flexibility
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Progress towards relevant certifications is a plus, such as CFA, CPA, ASA, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in intellectual property valuation, damages analysis, or transaction advisory
  • Progress toward or completion of CFA, CPA, or other relevant certifications

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000.  Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
