We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Field Engineer – Instrumentation & Electrical to support the execution of industrial projects across Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for overseeing field engineering activities, supervising installation and commissioning works, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and HSE requirements, and supporting project delivery from site mobilization through final handover. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in instrumentation, electrical systems, and industrial automation within large-scale industrial environments.


Key Requirements
  • Minimum 4–6 years of field engineering experience in instrumentation and electrical engineering.
  • Proven experience delivering industrial projects within Saudi Arabia.
  • Hands-on experience with the installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
    • Field instrumentation and process analyzers.
    • Low-voltage (LV) electrical systems.
    • Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and control panels.
    • Industrial communication networks.
  • Experience supervising site activities, including cable laying, cable termination, panel installation, and field device installation.
  • Experience performing loop checks, calibration verification, functional testing, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities.
  • Ability to interpret and work from:
    • P&IDs.
    • Loop drawings.
    • Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
    • Hook-up drawings.
    • Cable schedules.
    • Wiring diagrams.
  • Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, subcontractors, and OEM representatives.
  • Experience supporting project planning, scheduling, material verification, and site execution.
  • Strong understanding of project specifications, engineering standards, and quality compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering projects for large industrial, mining, or energy sector organizations.
  • Experience working with EPC contractors on large-scale industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with recognized engineering standards and industry best practices for industrial projects.
  • Experience within mining, Oil & Gas, industrial automation, utilities, power generation, cement plants, process industries, or conveyor systems.
  • HSE certifications such as OSHA, IOSH, or NEBOSH.
  • Valid Saudi driving license.
  • Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is an advantage.

Other Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong leadership and site coordination skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project documentation.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise field execution activities related to instrumentation and electrical systems throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate project activities from site mobilization through commissioning, testing, and final handover.
  • Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and project documentation.
  • Oversee the installation of instrumentation systems, electrical equipment, control panels, MCCs, communication systems, and associated cabling.
  • Perform and supervise loop checks, calibration verification, functional testing, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, subcontractors, and equipment manufacturers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, and applicable engineering codes.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly technical reports.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), inspections, punch list resolution, and project close-out activities.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and material verification.
  • Identify technical issues, recommend practical engineering solutions, and support timely project delivery.
  • Provide technical support during project execution and post-commissioning activities as required.
