Overview
The Instrumentation Startup Engineer position is an exciting opportunity to join PM Group's quickly growing Outsourced Technical Services(OTS) team at a site near Zebulon, NC. Outsourced Technical Services (OTS) is an integral part of PM Group's ability to support clients across the complete project life cycle. We have over 50 years' industry experience, strong technical knowledge and integrated resources. Clients look to us to provide experienced technical professionals that complement their project teams. Together we are sharing knowledge, learning, growing and continuing to be an integral part of supporting PM Group's ongoing expansion in the US.
We are seeking System Owners responsible for supporting and representing the owner stakeholders. Specifically the successful candidate will have specific experience leading design support, equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting, and operational readiness for Drug Substance manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities
  • Support startup and commissioning of instrumentation systems.
  • Participate in field troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Perform system walkdowns and support punch list closure.
  • Assist with loop checks and functional testing.
  • Coordinate with Automation, Electrical, CQV, vendors, and Operations.
  • Support operational readiness and system turnover activities.
  • Assist with startup documentation and commissioning records.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
  • Experience supporting startup or commissioning activities within regulated manufacturing
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to work full-time onsite

  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences manufacturing
  • Instrumentation field engineering
  • Commissioning and startup support

  • Pressure, flow, temperature, and level instrumentation
  • Control valves
  • Analytical instrumentation
  • DeltaV or other DCS interfaces
  • GMP manufacturing environments
