Project Overview:

The project is a 1.3 GW simple-cycle power generation facility located in Millersport, Ohio, being constructed adjacent to a hyperscale data center campus. The facility includes multiple power generation technologies consisting of Solar Titan 130 gas turbines, Siemens SGT800 gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and associated balance of plant infrastructure.

The scope includes major civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, underground utility, control systems, and commissioning works required to support phased energization and turnover of the facility. Construction will be executed through a combination of direct hire and subcontracted labor supported by modularization, pre-assembly, offsite warehousing, and advanced work packaging methodologies.

Job Summary:

Provides technical leadership and coordination for all electrical construction scopes including underground electrical systems, cable installation, temporary power, rotating equipment electrical scope, substations, power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation. Responsible for construction work packaging, field engineering coordination, quantity tracking, technical issue resolution, inspection coordination, turnover support, and integration between construction, engineering, procurement, QA/QC, vendors, and commissioning teams.#LI-RM1

Major Responsibilities:

Specialization & Expertise

  • Provides knowledge and expertise in a particular discipline, Electrical & Instrumentation subject matter.
  • Provides technical consultation support to projects.

Work Planning & Packaging

  • Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
  • Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans.

Material Management

  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
  • Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.

Quantities

  • Leads the verification of commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.

Safety / Quality Control

  • Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Technical

  • Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities

STR / Subcontract Coordinator

  • Reviews and approves inspection test plans
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Large EPC industrial or power project field engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction methods and sequencing
  • Experience with substations, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, schematics, cable schedules, and specifications
  • Experience managing RFIs, redlines, as-builts, and technical queries
  • Understanding of electrical testing, energization, and turnover requirements
  • Experience coordinating inspections, testing, and turnover documentation
  • Strong interface coordination with construction, engineering, QA/QC, and vendors
  • Familiarity with AWP, CWPs, IWPs, and workface planning preferred
  • Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
