Freelance Informatica information

What is a freelance Informatica professional?

A Freelance Informatica professional is an independent contractor who specializes in using Informatica software to design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions for clients. They often work on projects involving data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data migration. Unlike full-time employees, freelance Informatica experts typically work on a project basis, providing flexible services to various organizations. Their responsibilities may include consulting, coding, troubleshooting, and optimizing data workflows. They need strong technical skills in Informatica tools and related databases, along with the ability to manage their own schedules.

What are some common challenges freelance Informatica professionals face when managing multiple client projects simultaneously?

Freelance Informatica professionals often juggle multiple projects and clients, which can make prioritization and time management challenging. Each client may have distinct data integration requirements, ETL processes, and deadlines, requiring adaptability and clear communication. Additionally, freelancers are responsible for troubleshooting technical issues independently and ensuring seamless project delivery without the direct support of an in-house team. Building strong client relationships and setting clear expectations can help manage these challenges effectively.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a freelance Informatica professional?

To succeed as a Freelance Informatica specialist, you need expertise in data integration, ETL processes, and strong knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter, often supported by a degree in computer science or information systems. Familiarity with Informatica suite tools, SQL, and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure are typically required, along with relevant certifications like Informatica Certified Professional. Strong problem-solving, communication, and client management skills help you deliver effective solutions and build lasting relationships. These competencies are crucial for delivering quality projects, meeting client requirements, and maintaining a competitive edge in the data management field.

Who Are We Looking For?

We're looking for a Paid Marketing Analyst to join our growth marketing team on a contract basis and support the top of our funnel. In this role you will manage our paid programs across Google and LinkedIn, refining targeting, and testing creative and landing pages to drive clicks and capture leads and support lifecycle email execution and marketing infrastructure.

This role requires someone who is analytical and comfortable navigating ad platforms day to day — building and optimizing campaigns, digging into performance, and iterating quickly to find what works. It also requires strong creative instincts to write ad copy that converts, and the ability to stay organized across multiple campaigns at once. Experience in financial services or fintech is a plus.
What Will You Be Doing?

  • Build and manage our paid ad campaigns day to day across Google Search and LinkedIn
  • Create engaging ad copy, creative, and landing pages that drive clicks and capture leads
  • Sharpen our search terms and audiences so our ads reach the right people
  • Test and iterate on copy, creative, budget, and audiences to build our best-performing campaigns
  • Build and deploy email campaigns against the marketing calendar
  • Monitor the shared inbox and handle responses and opt-outs
  • Own email health and deliverability — sender reputation, list hygiene, and inbox placement
  • Report on email metrics — opens, clicks, conversions, and engagement trends

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in paid/growth marketing or a similar analytical marketing role
  • Hands-on experience running campaigns in ad platforms, specifically Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
  • Experience with HubSpot or another email service provider (ESP)
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable pulling, interpreting, and reporting on campaign metrics
  • Solid copywriting instincts for ads and landing pages
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns at once
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • A start-up mentality — adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable with shifting priorities

This is a full-time contract role (approximately 6 months), with potential to turn into full-time role. The expected target rate for this position is $35-$45/hour.

We're an innovative, high-growth company with an exciting future ahead. At Vestwell, we prioritize employee wellbeing through comprehensive health benefits, generous time off, and a dedicated Employee Wellbeing Committee. OUR PROCESS
Our interview process starts the same for every candidate with 1-2 introductory conversations to learn more about your background, interests, and what you're looking for, while also giving you the opportunity to learn more about Vestwell and the team. From there, the process varies by role but typically includes a skills or experience-based assessment, such as a coding interview, portfolio review, or deeper discussion of your relevant experience. Successful candidates then move on to a virtual or in-person interview panel. Before extending an offer, we complete a reference check with a current or former manager and a peer. Throughout the process, we prioritize transparency, clear communication, and minimizing surprises.
