Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)
About the Role
What if your expertise in healthcare data governance could directly shape how AI understands and reasons about clinical and operational health information? We're looking for experienced Hospital Health Data Governance Leads to help build, evaluate, and refine AI systems that need to get healthcare data right - accurately, securely, and in full compliance with the regulatory frameworks that protect patients.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. If you've spent years navigating the complex world of hospital data - working across clinical, IT, and compliance teams to keep health records trusted and actionable - this is your opportunity to bring that expertise to the frontier of AI development.

What You'll Do
  • Apply your healthcare data governance expertise to evaluate and improve AI-generated content, frameworks, and reasoning related to clinical and operational health data
  • Assess AI outputs for accuracy, compliance alignment, and real-world applicability across healthcare data governance scenarios
  • Identify gaps, errors, or misalignments in how AI systems represent data quality standards, HIPAA requirements, and clinical data workflows
  • Provide structured, detailed feedback to help AI models better understand governance policies, data stewardship principles, and cross-functional healthcare data operations
  • Draw on your experience working with clinicians, IT teams, and compliance stakeholders to ground AI outputs in practical, real-world hospital environments
  • Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule
Who You Are
  • Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health information operations
  • Deep understanding of healthcare privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks - particularly HIPAA
  • Familiar with the realities of hospital data environments: EHRs, data quality controls, governance frameworks, and cross-functional workflows
  • Able to evaluate complex governance scenarios and articulate clear, reasoned feedback
  • Naturally detail-oriented with a systematic, thorough approach to quality
  • Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
  • Background in clinical informatics, health IT, or healthcare compliance
  • Experience with data governance tools, frameworks, or standards such as DAMA-DMBOK or HL7
  • Familiarity with analytics environments or reporting systems within hospital settings
