Job description

Essential Functions

  • Must have experience with castings and fittings and know how to grind castings
  • Want to learn grinding and essential warehouse operations
  • Must have grinding experience on casting and fittings
  • Must have experience with hand tools/grinding tools and pneumatic air equipment
  • Should be able to perform any other activity assigned from time to time
  • Maintains Grinding Booths/warehouse and yard environments to provide the cleanest and safest environment possible
  • Must be able to carry at least 50lbs on a constant basis

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Has product inspected for accuracy and quality
  • Packages products per Star Pipe Products' standards
  • Must wear proper PPE while in Griding booth area
  • Must wear goggles while working in the grinding area
  • Sweeps floors; operates the floor scrubber
  • Must be able to wear a respirator for extended periods of time
  • Collects and disposes of trash from Grinding booths, warehouse, and yard
  • Inspects bins, equipment, and warehouse for safety; takes appropriate safety precautions, and wears proper personal protective equipment
  • Communicates issues such as equipment damage, incidents, safety concerns, etc., to management
  • Other duties as assigned
