About the Role

The Bug Master is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Marketing Coordinator to support the execution of our marketing initiatives.

This is an entry-level opportunity for someone with a foundation in marketing, communications, content creation, or social media who is ready to build hands-on professional experience.

You'll work closely with our external marketing agency, which leads our overall marketing strategy, while helping bring that strategy to life internally. Your day-to-day work will include content creation, social media, website updates, online profile and review management, and coordination of marketing projects.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and edit high-quality content for blogs, social media, website pages, email, and other marketing materials.
  • Develop written, graphic, photo, and video content that supports brand awareness, engagement, SEO, and lead generation.
  • Create and execute video content for social media and other digital marketing channels.
  • Coordinate and execute social media content, calendars, and posting schedules.
  • Execute marketing campaigns, content plans, and initiatives developed in partnership with our external marketing agency.
  • Ensure content is delivered consistently, on time, and aligned with established marketing strategy and brand voice.
  • Update and maintain website content using WordPress.
  • Maintain an accurate and engaging online presence across Google Business Profile, Yelp, BBB, Angi, and other relevant platforms.
  • Support online review and reputation management efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Training and Operations, to identify content opportunities and gather information for marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate marketing projects, content needs, deadlines, and deliverables with internal teams and our external marketing agency.
  • Create content that showcases The Bug Master's services, employees, expertise, and company culture.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to create clear, engaging content.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to turn ideas, information, and business needs into compelling content.
  • Foundational understanding of content marketing, social media, digital marketing, and brand voice.
  • Ability to create written, graphic, photo, and video content across multiple digital channels.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple content needs, assignments, and deadlines.
  • Comfortable executing an established marketing strategy while collaborating with internal teams and external marketing partners.
  • Ability to receive feedback, ask thoughtful questions, and quickly apply what you've learned.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and online business profiles.
  • Working knowledge of Canva or similar graphic design tools.
  • Basic experience with WordPress or another website content management system.
  • Basic photo and video creation and editing capabilities.
  • Ability to work full-time and in person in Austin, Texas.
  • Ability to occasionally work in the field to capture photo, video, and other content to support marketing initiatives.

Education & Experience

  • 1+ year of experience in marketing, communications, social media, or content creation preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Relevant internships, freelance work, volunteer experience, or demonstrated personal projects may be considered in place of professional experience.
  • Portfolio or examples of writing, social media, graphic, photo, or video content preferred.

What You'll Gain

This role offers hands-on experience executing marketing strategy with a strong focus on content creation and delivery while working alongside an experienced external marketing agency. You'll gain exposure to content marketing, social media, video, website management, digital presence, brand execution, and cross-functional collaboration while continuing to develop your skills and take on greater responsibility as you grow.
