Job Description

We are building a portfolio of web and mobile applications, as well as modernizing existing applications so that we can deliver software that meets the business needs with speed, while maintaining and strengthening quality and security. To do this, we need you. We need software engineers that think like product managers. We need software engineers that obsess over observability and know how to take advantage of all that modern cloud platforms like Azure and AWS have to offer. In short, we need people that are passionate about building high-performing digital experiences, who know what it takes to build products that surprise, delight and improve the lives of users. As a Developer, you will play a pivotal role in building and modernizing our web application projects, with a particular focus on creating dynamic, scalable, and responsive applications using React and microfrontend architectures. You will follow best practices in frontend development as part of an agile product focused development team. Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of complex web applications, focusing on high-performance solutions using React and micro-frontend architectures.
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of web applications, from ideation through to deployment and maintenance, adhering to scope, and quality standards.
  • Implement "shift-left" practices in the development lifecycle, emphasizing early integration of security, performance optimization, and user experience design.
  • Follow React best practices and the principles of micro-frontend architectures, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Lead by example in adopting agile methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement in processes and outputs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in web application development, with at least 2 years focused on React and modern JavaScript frameworks including Next.js.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript) and experience with Node.js based APIs and GraphQL
  • Experience with AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB) and Tailwind

Comfortable with both front & back end development - willing up tickets from either tech stack

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud services (AWS, preferred).
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and their integration with React applications.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and libraries such as Jest, Enzyme, or React Testing Library, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices.
  • Proficiency in using build tools like Webpack, Rollup, or Parcel for bundling and optimizing web applications.
  • Extensive experience with version control systems, particularly Git, including branching strategies and collaborative development workflows.
  • Experience with consuming RESTful services and APIs, understanding the principles of REST, and experience with GraphQL is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically, and strong leadership qualities.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
