Job description

We are seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineers to support the design, review, and construction oversight of fire protection and life safety systems. This role requires deep technical expertise in fire protection engineering, strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, and hands-on experience with fire alarm and suppression systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of supporting system design, developing specifications, and overseeing installation, testing, and maintenance activities.


  • Provide oversight of the design and construction of fire protection and life safety systems.
  • Review and support building construction elements related to fire and life safety compliance.
  • Evaluate occupancy classifications and applicable fire protection requirements.
  • Assess and support means of egress design and compliance.
  • Review water supply requirements for fire protection systems.
  • Develop and review fire alarm system designs and specifications.
  • Provide expertise in water-based fire extinguishing systems.
  • Provide expertise in non-water-based fire extinguishing systems.
  • Perform or review fire dynamics calculations.
  • Perform or review egress calculations.
  • Perform or review smoke control calculations.
  • Support Siemens and JCI fire alarm systems, including design, specification, installation oversight, testing, and maintenance.
  • Ensure fire protection systems are designed and implemented in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders on fire protection engineering matters.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background and financial check.
  • 12+ years of experience in fire protection engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems design and construction oversight.
  • Experience with fire alarm systems, suppression systems, and life safety code compliance.
  • Ability to develop system designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience overseeing installation, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems.
  • Familiarity with Siemens and JCI fire alarm systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

USD $100,000.00 - USD $105,000.00 /Yr.
