Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design, develop, test, debug, and implement operating systems components, software tools, and utilities.
โ€ข Determine systems software design requirements and ensure successful implementation and monitoring to increase efficiency.
โ€ข Generate systems software engineering policies, standards, and procedures.
โ€ข Work across a variety of software lifecycle activities as determined by program needs.
โ€ข Design, build, and test web applications in global cloud infrastructure as a service environment.
โ€ข Design, build, and test Android applications.
โ€ข Design, build, and test embedded Java applications.
โ€ข Develop in an agile environment, working with agile teams in multiple sites.
โ€ข Create and document all aspects of the software engineering processes for products under development, incorporating the highest quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and measurable efficiency.
โ€ข Meet all project milestones and deliverables, as required by the project leadership.
โ€ข Provide concise, timely, and accurate reports and status of all development and test activities.
โ€ข Participate in continuous process improvement activities.
โ€ข Keep abreast of technical and industry trends related to software design and development.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Strong C and C++ knowledge/experience.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to quickly interpret an extensive variety of technical information and find resolution to an issue quickly.
โ€ข Experience with software development for embedded systems.
โ€ข Understanding of version control systems and configuration management.
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills.
โ€ข Ability to learn and apply new technology in areas of responsibility.
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with real-time software on a microprocessor-based system and developing software in Linux environment.
โ€ข Experience embedded graphics programming libraries (such as LVGL, GTK3, or QT).
โ€ข Experience with driver development or maintenance.
โ€ข Experience with software development in a highly regulated environment (like medical devices/defense/aviation etc.).
โ€ข Experience with microprocessor, microcontroller architectures, and assembly language.
โ€ข Experience with Python and shell scripting.
โ€ข Experience with communication interfaces such as serial, USB, I2C, SPI.
โ€ข Coding experience through school projects, internship, or work experience.
โ€ข Working knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and JavaScript.
โ€ข Knowledgeable in Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns.
โ€ข Experience in web frameworks โ€“ Spring, JPA, Hibernate, Angular, RxJS.
โ€ข Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data modeling.
โ€ข Experience in Android development.
โ€ข Experience in testing frameworks โ€“ JUnit, Appium, Selenium.
