Do you want to earn some extra money during school break by having fun, playing games, and entertaining our ninjas? Do you want to make new friends and work with an amazing team of like-minded people? Then this is the perfect fit for you!
Who are we?Kids learn to code using a game-based curriculum at our centers in a fun, safe, and inspiring learning environment. Our curriculum focuses on teaching kids to code, but the goal is to teach them how to think and solve problems. We do this by engaging with the children at their level, on a topic that they enjoy and can stay engaged with over a four-year period: video game development. As part of our suite of programs, we offer week-long half-day SUMMER CAMPS that run in the mornings and afternoons at all our centers.

What are we looking for?

When would you be working?
  • Flexible schedules
  • Summer Break (Late May-Early August)
  • Anytime there are elementary school breaks

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with parents and campers before, during, and after the camps.
  • Ability to think on the fly and be perceptive to center dynamics, instructor needs, parent requests, and kid's needs
  • Coach and mentor kids in coding and STEM curriculum, including Minecraft, Roblox, block-based languages, robotics, 3D modeling, and more.
  • Complete training courses for our proprietary curriculum.
  • Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow.
  • Provide feedback to parents on student progress.
  • Perform extra duties as needed, including organizing, cleaning, and maintaining center equipment and facilities.
  • Clean classroom and bathrooms throughout the day to ensure cleanliness.
  • Report as needed to Center Director or lead instructor with respect to the day's activities, efficiency & productivity in the classroom.

Qualifications:
  • Leadership skills: demonstrated ability to supervise, organize, or lead within workgroups, clubs, teams, etc. Looking for individuals who seek ways to contribute rather than waiting to be told.
  • Coding and technology skills: knowledgeable about, or willing to learn, introductory concepts in coding. Skills in Minecraft, Roblox, robotics, or 3D printing are a plus!
  • Education/childcare experience: demonstrated experience with children ages 7-14 in babysitting, childcare, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, etc. Looking for individuals that can work patiently with children of differing learning styles and abilities, including neurodivergent learners.
  • Works well with others; enjoys collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be fun to work with and enjoy fast-paced environments where requirements can change frequently
