Job description

Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced Outreach Specialist to support our customer onsite in McLean, Va to collaborate with federal, state, local, and other governmental partners to strengthen national security and homeland defense. The ideal candidate will have experience directly supporting the Intelligence Community. You understand the operational environment at a strategic level, and you consider and balance discrete perspectives to strengthen mission readiness. You oversee community-wide workshops, exercises, and simulations designed to enhance information collection capabilities, close knowledge gaps, and prepare all partners to respond to operational events. You establish and maintain excellent, collaborative working relationships with executive leaders, soliciting and incorporating feedback in a thoughtful, professional manner.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Active, current TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Minimum of 12 years relevant experience with BS/BA
  • Demonstrated experience successfully working across organizational silos to support whole-of-government activities
  • Experience planning, designing, developing, coordinating, and/or executing exercise events with a wide variety of audiences and ensuring results are reported in a timely manner
  • Ability to confidently maintain oversight of community-wide exercise planning, delivery, and intended outcomes, and make exercise adjustment recommendations driven by mission, policy, or other business changes
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Possess a background supporting national security objectives in an operational or analytical role
  • Experience leading teams by participating in hiring and onboarding, driving individual and team performance, supporting growth and development, etc.

Target Salary Range
$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
