Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator – (Wausau, WI)

Part Time - 24hrs/week

Onsite - no relocation offered

Job Description

This onsite Clinical Research Coordinator role supports an ongoing cardiovascular clinical trial through April 2027. Working 24 hours per week, you will serve as one of the coordinators for the study, managing multiple research activities independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and participant care. The position requires hands-on clinical research experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with participants and research staff in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator for an ongoing cardiovascular clinical trial, managing assigned study activities independently.
  • Perform accurate and timely electronic data capture (EDC) data entry for all study visits and procedures.
  • Verify data in the EDC system to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency with source documents and protocol requirements.
  • Identify, document, and resolve data queries within the EDC system in collaboration with the study team and monitors.
  • Prepare for study visits by organizing required documents, lab kits, and materials, and confirming participant schedules and visit requirements.
  • Maintain organized and secure storage of source documents and study records in accordance with regulatory and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
  • Support lab kit management, including preparation, handling, and documentation for specimen collection and shipment as required by the protocol.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to review, extract, and verify clinical data needed for the trial.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and GCP guidelines to protect participant confidentiality and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with investigators, research staff, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth study operations and resolve issues promptly.
  • Contribute to a detail-focused, fast-paced research environment by prioritizing tasks and managing multiple study activities effectively.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience working as a Clinical Research Coordinator.
  • At least 1+ year of experience with electronic data capture (EDC) data entry in a clinical research setting.
  • Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) to support clinical research activities.
  • Hands-on experience with EDC systems, including data entry, data verification, and query resolution.
  • Strong data management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and organized study records and source documents.
  • Training in HIPAA regulations, with a clear understanding of patient privacy and data protection requirements.
  • Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and adherence to clinical research regulatory standards.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple study tasks and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of data and document handling.
  • Effective communication skills to engage confidently with participants and research staff.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting cardiovascular or other therapeutic area clinical trials is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with query management and resolution within electronic data capture platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced research environment.
  • Comfort working with various clinical and research documentation, including source documents and lab-related materials.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role in Wausau, WI, working approximately 24 hours per week during normal business hours. The environment is fast paced and requires consistent attention to detail, particularly in handling electronic data capture systems, electronic medical records, and study documentation. You will collaborate closely with investigators and research staff in a structured clinical research setting, following HIPAA and GCP guidelines while supporting a cardiovascular clinical trial

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
