Data Center Technicians operate, monitor and support physical facilities conditions, rack and cable equipment. They inspect, maintain and repair various data center systems (such as piping, electrical, and mechanical system components).
The Data Center Technicians read blueprints/schematics, conduct inspections of systems and assess their working order. Ensures that environmental and safety standards are consistently met, identifying problems and making repairs quickly. In emergency situations or abnormal conditions, they assist the lead technician in managing data center performance issues and outages to minimize the recovery time from failures.
Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma and two years of related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • 1 year of experience working in a data center or critical facility
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience with data center data and facility equipment
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Electrical/Mechanical expertise
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
15% - Create a positive experience and relationship with all customers through strong communication and outstanding customer service.
30% - Monitor operations, document and respond to incidents when normal operating conditions are exceeded. Resolve service requests and incidents within the current OLA
20% - Ensure all employees, customers, and vendors adhere to all security protocols. Provide customer and vendor escort.
20% - Facility Support
  • Perform facility equipment (e.g., HVAC, electrical, security) maintenance
  • Cable management (not including cabling that requires an electrician or drilling through walls, installing conduit etc.)
  • configure and maintain PDU, complete necessary documentation, and adjust rack power distribution as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and physical appearance (including cable management) of datacenters and IDC / ICF rooms
  • Perform regular facility inspections

10% - Rack and stack servers, network hardware
  • Receive deliveries
  • Install and deinstall IT equipment (e.g., servers, switches, cabling) according to documented design requirements
  • Ability to read Rack Elevation,
  • Fiber and copper cable patching
  • Asset Management- track all physical references and update asset databases.
  • RMA / Warranty processing and management, including the gathering and shipping / receiving of parts Provide Layer 1 troubleshooting as needed
  • Perform all work in an organized, neat and quality manner.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and requirements

5% - Perform other related duties as assigned

This is a second shift position (Thursday - Monday, 12:00 am - 8:00 am, off Tuesdays and Wednesdays). This position will work at the Fort Worth location in person and on site.
