Your Challenge:

  • Lead the design and development of valves and flow control equipment from conceptual design through detailed engineering and production release

  • Apply strong knowledge of valve fundamentals including pressure boundary design, internal trim design, actuator integration, sealing technologies, materials selection, and thermal/pressure loading considerations

  • Design and modify control valves for precise regulation of steam and water systems, including analysis of flow characteristics, cavitation, flashing, vibration, and erosion

  • Develop and execute qualification and validation test programs in accordance with applicable nuclear and industry standards

  • Support product improvement initiatives, failure investigations, and root cause analysis

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and project engineering teams to ensure designs are robust, manufacturable, and compliant

  • Interpret and apply ASME and other relevant codes and standards applicable to nuclear pressure boundary components

  • Generate engineering documentation including calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and procedures

In this role, you will work with minimal supervision, exercising sound engineering judgment while following established procedures and developing new processes where required.
