Job description


Nemours is seeking a Casual Guest Services Representative to join the Nemours Estate team in Wilmington, DE.
Nemours Estate is a 225-acre public garden and historic home dating back to 1910. Its benefactor, Alfred I. duPont, also established the Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware, which shares our campus and our history. As a historic property and public gardens, Nemours Estate is perhaps the only such location worldwide which shares a 501c3 with a pediatric hospital. As such an institution, we are uniquely placed to explore the intersections of health and wellbeing and arts, history, and horticulture.
Nemours Estate expects Guest Services Representatives to interact with the visiting public in a gracious, informative and engaging manner. Guest Services Representatives are responsible for processing daily admissions, communicating pertinent information to our guests about their experience at Nemours Estate and providing a positive experience so that the Nemours brand is sustained and enhanced.
Guest Services Representatives must display exceptional customer service, communication and hospitality skills. The work schedule approximately 12-24 hours per week (2-4 shifts per week). Main shift time is 9am-5p. Candidates must have availability during weekdays, evenings,and some holidays.
Responsibilities:
  1. Process sales for admissions, season passes, online prepaid tickets, and complimentary associate/hospital patient visits utilizing a point of sale computer system.
  2. Promptly and graciously answer phone calls and retrieve messages in a timely manner.
  3. Share historical information about Nemours Estate.
  4. Acts as a liaison with drivers, interpreters, gardeners, housekeeping and other Nemours staff to provide, maintain and promote a positive guest experience.
  5. Provide transportation via golfcart for guests (Driver's License Required)
  6. Assist with greeting large bus groups at the Group Tour Center to ensure a smooth arrival and departure.
  7. Attend all Nemours Estate required staff meetings and trainings.
  8. Complete all annual trainings as required by Nemours.
  9. Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by employee's supervisor.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have excellent customer service
  • Valid driver's license required
