Marketing Coordinator

Your Role
  • Coordinate the overall content assembly and review, generation, and distribution of Sunshine's monthly company newsletter
  • Design conversion-focused creative assets with clear calls-to-action (CTAs) that guide neighbors from their digital screens to our store aisles.
  • Produce graphics for store signage and collateral that act as "silent sellers" on the retail floor.
  • Assist in creating marketing materials (flyers, bag stuffers, coupons) specifically aimed at growing both the brand and sales
  • Create compelling and engaging videos used for internal communication and external marketing purposes.
  • Assist in sign creation for store needs
  • Assist in administrative tasks and internal assignments such as designing, ordering, and printing flyers, posters, bag stuffers, coupons, simple signage, etc., for Sunshine and Crowder brands
  • Manage and optimize tools like Ace Marketing Muscle, email, social, & Google My Business sites for every store location.
  • Perform financial analysis and participate in post-campaign debriefs to document lessons learned and update the 'Best Practices' library for future marketing and event productivity
  • Coordinate with outside marketing, public relations, and event management agencies to complete tasks and assignments
  • Oversee holiday gift catalog for both Crowder's Gifts & Gadgets and Sunshine Ace stores
  • Manage website banners and email marketing via Mailchimp and PeopleCloud
  • Coordinate social media asset curation and manage scheduling via SOCI, focusing on content that drives immediate store visits.
  • Manage the coop tracker, submit claims, and collect coop to meet marketing goals
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager on monthly ad planning and coop planning
  • Work closely with buying teams to support their strategies
  • Accurately create and maintain pricing files in Sunshine's POS system for ads and promotions
  • Assist the Merchandising team with related tasks as needed

About You
  • Ability to be highly self-motivated, energetic, and a self-starter with a strong eagerness to learn • Skilled in Google Business Applications, MS Office, and creative software (Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and Acrobat).
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines requiring both short-term and long-term planning through strong time-management and project-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to store locations (Marco Island to Largo) to learn from our customers and associates and support floor-level marketing needs.
  • High degree of analytical and creative skills
  • Ability to have the "People Smarts" and emotional intelligence to interact effectively with store associates and the "Retail Smarts" to understand how your tasks impact the bottom line.
  • Ability to generate reports, view and understand marketing metrics, manage data, and communicate this information with team members to provide project updates. Proficient working knowledge of computer applications, programs, and features is required.
  • Ability to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and utilize good time management skills
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills to articulate clearly with various departments, including graphic design, public relations, and advertising, as well as vendors, contractors, and freelancers.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the vicinity of Sunshine's store locations (Marco Island, FL to Largo, FL) as required or requested to carry out job duties, attend group planning meetings, prepare for and attend events, training, conventions, etc.

Education and Experience
  • Associate degree in business, business management or retail management or a closely related field and a minimum of 2 years of marketing or public relations experience; or, high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in graphic design, marketing or advertising and should also have solid experience in managing display advertising, social media, email and marketing database campaigns. Video editing software/skill a plus.
  • Project management experience and time-management skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient working knowledge of computers and related software and applications including Google business applications (e.g., G Suite Docs, Sheets and Slides), MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.) and Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, and Premiere.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, bend, climb and stoop
  • Lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted and over 50 lbs. with team lift or assistance
  • Possession of a valid State of Florida Driver License with a clean driving record in accordance with the company's insurance carrier's standards
  • May require evening and weekend work in order to set up or participate in company or store events; and, out of town/overnight travel for industry events (e.g. trade shows) and/or professional development conferences and seminars 2-3 times per year
