Description
Sayre Enterprises offers two 1st shift options: 4- 10 hour days, Monday-Friday, 6AM-4:30PM OR 5- 8 hour days, Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM.
JOB TITLE: Embroidery Machine Operator
DEPARTMENT: Embroidery Department
REPORTS TO: Embroidery Department Manager
PAY RATE: $15.25/hour
SUMMARY: Embroidery machine operators are responsible for operating multi-head embroidery machines to embroider names, initials, or decorative designs on garments, material, or uniform accessories.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to draw thread through guides, tensions, and needles and adjusts tensions, threads, and bobbins according to fabric type.
Ability to hoop and center material to prepare for processing on embroidery machine.
Ability to observe embroidery sewing operations to detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and notify supervisor of malfunction.
Ability to inspect garments for defects or damage, repair defective embroidery or fill in blanks left by embroidery machine.
Must be dependable and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently with little supervision and communicate well with managers and team leaders.
Ability to maintain speed and efficiency and be fully committed to excellent customer service.
Ability to maintain department production demand numbers.
Ability to accurately count and follow written directions.
Pay attention to the quality of both the starting product and the finished product.
Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and have discernment for colors and detail.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required.
General Computer skills preferred but not required.
Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Continually required to stand and walk (8-10 hours per day and up to 2-4 hours overtime as needed).
Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
Continually required to talk and hear and visually see.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to lift, move and push up to 30lbs.
