CAD Designer / Plan Checker
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (In-Office)
Company: Closets by Design - Utah
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Closets by Design - Utah is a leader in the home organizing industry. We design, manufacture, and install custom storage solutions including closets, garage cabinets, home offices, pantries, and more.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated CAD Designer / Plan Checker to join our team. This position is responsible for reviewing sales designs and converting them into accurate CAD drawings, cultists, and orders for manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
  • Review and verify sales designs for accuracy and compliance with company standards
  • Create and finalize CAD drawings and detailed cutlists for manufacturing
  • Identify all parts and machining requirements for each project
  • Resolve design questions and work with sales, production, and installation teams
  • Submit vendor orders and project documentation within required timelines
  • Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (college training preferred)
  • CAD or drafting experience preferred (Cabinet Vision is a plus)
  • Manufacturing or cabinetry experience is helpful
  • Comfortable with computers and technology
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
