CNC Programmer / Engineering Technician

Commercial Architectural Millwork

Brooklyn Woodworking is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Engineering Technician to join our growing team. We are a leading architectural millwork manufacturer specializing in high-end commercial and residential projects throughout the New York metropolitan area.

This is not an entry-level CNC operator position. We are looking for someone who understands the complete engineering process—from architectural drawings to CNC-ready production.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain CNC programs using Microvellum or Mozaik
  • Generate nested CNC files for cabinet and custom millwork production
  • Review architectural drawings and shop drawings for manufacturability
  • Develop machining strategies to maximize material yield and production efficiency
  • Produce cut lists, machining files, labels, and production documentation
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, engineering, and production teams
  • Support field measurements when engineering verification is required
  • Troubleshoot CNC programming and manufacturing issues
  • Continuously improve production workflows and standard construction methods

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience in architectural millwork or custom cabinetry
  • Strong experience with Microvellum or Mozaik (Microvellum experience strongly preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
