Job description

Position Overview Source Support Services (Source) continues to deliver world-class field services globally for technical product manufacturers. By leveraging our innovative network of field service professionals, Source Techworks, Source provides original equipment manufacturers with field service and technical support for their most mission-critical technologies. The Technical Recruiting Group (TRG) is central to Source’s success, identifying and recruiting qualified independent field engineers to uphold Source’s exceptional service standards.

Role Description The Technical Recruiter II is an experienced recruiting professional who will serve as a subject-matter expert within our dynamic team, driving talent acquisition through a multifaceted, marketing-based approach with a specific emphasis on the skilled trades and gig economy. The primary responsibility of the Technical Recruiter II is to identify and develop high-quality, professional independent contractor candidates and partners with a primary emphasis on the Trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, construction, and related disciplines) and Gig Workforce, complemented by recruiting across Enterprise IT, Medical Device Support, and Industrial Automation markets. This role requires a seasoned recruiter who can independently own the full recruitment lifecycle across all verticals, mentor junior team members, and build scalable sourcing pipelines for on-demand and project-based technician workforces. The Technical Recruiter II will identify strategic Field Engineer needs and champion a team culture of excellence while maintaining strong relationships with candidates and the Source team.

As a Technical Recruiter II, you will be a lead contributor in sourcing and engaging skilled trades professionals, IT Technicians, Med Tech Technicians, Industrial Automation Technicians, and General Field Service Workers — including electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and other field-based contractors. You’ll leverage your deep knowledge of trades labor markets, gig workers and gig workforce platforms to build a robust pipeline of on-demand talent, guide candidates through Source’s recruitment process, and ensure alignment with Source’s service excellence standards. Recruiting, retaining, and growing our trades and gig workforce network will be the central focus of this role.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience recruiting skilled trades professionals (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Construction, Industrial Automation, Field Service, or related technical disciplines).
  • Experience recruiting independent contractors, contingent workers, freelancers, or gig economy talent at scale.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing candidates through trade-specific platforms, gig workforce marketplaces, social recruiting, and networking channels.
  • Strong experience conducting behavioral-based interviews and evaluating both technical competencies and cultural fit.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and meet recruiting goals in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with candidates, hiring managers, and external workforce partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Experience using ATS, CRM, and recruiting technology platforms, including Salesforce, WorkMarket, HubSpot, or similar tools.
