Job description

Bodman's Intellectual Property Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Patent Attorney to join our growing office in Grand Rapids. 
In this position, you will focus on drafting and prosecuting patent applications that are intricate to our clients' global patent and IP strategies. You will also have the opportunity to conduct freedom-to-operate and landscape analysis and to gain exposure to preparing patentability, invalidity, and non-infringement opinions.  Further, in our general practice firm, there will be opportunities to support IP-related litigation and transactional practices.
The idea candidate will have 1 to 4 years of patent experience and a technical background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline. 
Admission to the Michigan Bar, U.S. Patent Bar, and excellent academic credentials are required.
