Job description

Body & Ballet Co is Nashville's first Balletic Pilates & Barre fitness studio and lifestyle brand combining the elegance, artistry and athleticism of classical ballet into an accessible fitness format for EveryBody: All Fitness Levels. Our ballet-inspired pilates and barre workouts are fun, graceful and truly transformative. We'd love to invite you to join our culture, our movement, our team!

We are seeking kind, dynamic and highly motivated instructors to join our studio family. The ideal candidate will have a history of classical ballet training, a barre or pilates certification (or ability to obtain) and a passion for helping others!

Additionally, our ideal instructor will express a willingness to learn our method, be confident working with all levels of clients to provide safe yet challenging classes in a small group setting (up to 10 clients), build relationships with and educate potential/existing clients on our brand, sell memberships/retail, and lead fresh workout routines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Formal ballet training
  • Barre or Pilates certification and active insurance
  • Anatomical knowledge with focus on proper form and safety modifications
  • Capable of creating fresh workout content for all levels/class offerings implementing BBCO guidelines
  • Ability to demonstrate effective group instruction and clear communication
  • Comfortable teaching group classes (up to 10 clients) using safe methods
  • Proficient and creative use of a variety of equipment including but not limited to: Bosu ball/dome, Balla ball/weights, resistance bands, etc.
  • Visually inspect equipment prior to each class to ensure it's in working order and safe for use
  • Punctual arriving at a set time prior to the beginning of class or private session
  • Ability to assist with membership and retail sales
  • Availability for minimum of 2-3 hour block shifts per week
  • Flexibility for private training sessions
  • Commitment to maintain a motivating and inspiring attitude characteristic of the BBCO brand
  • Experience with ClubReady software and/or ability to learn
