Free Life Counseling, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health therapist to join our innovative team. In this full-time remote position, you will provide specialized trauma-informed mental health care to individuals navigating the complexities of trauma recovery, aiming to foster resilience and healing in each patient.

About the Organization

Free Life Counseling, LLC is devoted to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals affected by trauma. Our outpatient office is located in Macon, Georgia, where we tailor our approaches to aid in the recovery of trauma survivors. We are dedicated to treating various trauma-related conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We believe in a holistic approach that encompasses both mental and emotional aspects of wellness.

Work Environment

This role offers you the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing for a better work-life balance while still engaging with our supportive team of professionals. The outpatient nature of our facility fosters a focused, client-centered atmosphere where you can deliver high-quality care to individuals and groups. Our virtual format ensures that all service delivery is efficient while maintaining a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and data security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history, facilitating the identification of suitable treatment plans.
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions tailored to assist patients in processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and fostering self-empowerment.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated treatment for patients.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate needs are addressed with care.
  • Educate patients and families on trauma responses, trauma-informed care techniques, and available resources, fostering a better understanding of the healing process.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focusing on trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay current with the latest research and evidence-based practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will be vital in helping these patients navigate their journeys toward recovery and empowerment in coping with their past experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a relevant field is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
  • Experience in providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions within a therapeutic setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client care.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and associated computer applications.
Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of trauma-informed treatment approaches, have experience in delivering evidence-based interventions, and demonstrate an ability to effectively work within a multidisciplinary care team. A proactive attitude toward continuous learning and professional development is also highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials. Furthermore, our benefits package includes:

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits, ensuring your well-being is prioritized.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions, helping you plan for your future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to promote work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage for peace of mind.
  • Access to ongoing training and continuing education support, fostering your professional growth.
  • A collaborative and supportive team environment dedicated to excellence in trauma-informed care.
