Lifeguard for Outdoor Community Pool. Certification is Required .
The Y offers Free Lifeguard Certification Classes . Ability to Swim and Pass the Prerequisite Test.
2 minute water tread without use of hands.
10 lb brick recovery from the deep end.
100 yards or 200 yards swim.
Practical and Written Test.
This is a Busy Pool and requires a commitment to Safety. The Pool operates 7 days per week , so the work schedule includes Saturday and Sunday . The Main Operations of the Pool is 12:45 pm - 5:15 pm . Some weekday Morning Hours 9:00 am - 12:00 noon may be required.
Old Colony YMCA Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe environment that promotes ideal guest service in a Family Friendly environment by using the Test, Mark, Protect Protocols.
