The Position
We are currently looking for a Electrical Engineer to become an integral member of our team, working with other engineering disciplines to improve current processes, and responsible for maintaining them. With your passion, talent, and expertise, you can help improve the performance of our current products that will make a difference in the economy of the future.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
  • Participate in the selection, and development of High-Power Resistor assemblies related to customer requests with varying levels of controls/switching/metering/protection, working closely with senior engineers as needed for guidance.
  • Participate in the hardware definition, selection, and development of High-Power Resistors with varying levels of controls/switching/metering/protection, working closely with senior engineers as needed for guidance.
  • Improve processes to meet the demands of our customers.
  • Develop designs that improve performance of currently produced products.
  • Interface with all levels within the organization (Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Production, Testing) to understand application requirements and develop best-in-class products.
  • Ensure that high standards of reliability, quality, usability, and measurement are adhered to throughout each phase of product development.
  • Support the various stages of product development to ensure projects are completed on time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, or similar design tools.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and production.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, customer requirements, and engineering documentation.
  • Experience supporting product development, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites, vendors, or company facilities, as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of five focused years in the field of Electronic Components, personal or professional
  • Experience in testing resistors and comprehensive understanding of electrical systems.
  • Fundamental understanding of ohms law, power dissipation, and physics
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience identifying various business problems or product flaws and coming up with creative solutions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power distribution, controls, and automation systems.
  • Ability to design, develop, and troubleshoot electrical systems, components, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Skilled in using electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and workplace safety.
