About the role
As an Operations Team Lead you will be responsible for performing quality review, training employees, keeping procedures current, organizing and managing reporting. The Operations Team Lead is responsible for handling emails and phone inquiries from the field concerning processing status and other related inquiries. Additionally, the Operations Team Lead is responsible for the research and resolution of pending cases in order to affect new business. This position is also responsible for updating client accounts and performing necessary maintenance based on information received from the representative and/or clients and will assist with other related system cleanup projects, complete and document test results for new process. Additional responsibilities may be assigned at the supervisor's discretion.

  • Act as an advocate for VFA Broker Dealer by utilizing excellent communication, problem solving, research and analytical skills to assist with complex issues regarding account statuses, balances, account transfers, and general inquires.
  • Provide professional, accurate and prompt service to field partners and clients with a sense of urgency at all times.
  • Be available to work any shift within our hours of operations (8am-5pm CST)

What we are looking for
  • 2+ years experience in financial industry or related field.
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Data analysis experience, i.e. analyzing large volumes of data and recognizing inconsistencies and/or erroneous information or trends
  • Process improvement training and experience
  • Strong presentation and business writing skills, able to communicate effectively
  • Mentoring and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize competing work efforts, manage time effectively
  • Organized, with the ability to complete multiple tasks under various deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate's geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
Work Location
This position is based in Corebridge Financial's Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
