Transportation Analyst
Company:
The Boeing Company
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Transportation Analyst to join our Boeing License Transportation team within Global Supply Chain and Transportation Logistics located in Seattle, Washington.
Boeing is seeking a Transportation Analyst to provide companywide guidance regarding internal procedural requirements and policies, and government regulations affecting all DOT transportation.
This position interprets government rules and regulations as they apply to transportation, acts as a company point of contact for government agencies (i.e. FMCSA, WSDOT) and develops and maintains written processes and materials that ensure compliance with Federal, State and Company rules and regulations.
This position ensures enterprise oversite and management of all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and State Department of Transportation regulations.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Communicate updates of federal and state regulations throughout the company to management and CDL holders in locations with commercial transport requirements
  • Interface with management at all locations to ensure regulatory compliance throughout The Boeing Company
  • Provide management with visibility of compliance or non-compliance of company policies and procedures and Federal and State Department of Transportation regulations
  • Problem-solve violations and discrepancies regarding DOT regulation compliance with management across the department and company
  • Develop leadership presentations based on Federal CSA metrics to show Boeing performance
  • Create and lead the maintenance of enterprise Driver Qualification files to ensure compliance with federal regulations
  • Coordinate the company drug and alcohol program including random pool list maintenance and post-accident testing guidance
  • Interface with State and Federal agencies to obtain oversize load permits, ensure compliance, and assist with resolving logistics and equipment issues
  • Oversee the Port of Seattle badging process
  • Coordinate required training for new and current truck drivers
  • Participate in the driver hiring process
  • Perform the Teamster job bidding process
  • Participate in Safety Focal meetings
  • Manage systems used to maintain driver information
  • Coordinate recognition events
  • Perform field audits

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able and willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled required work.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data
  • 5+ years of experience with multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment while balancing multiple tasks concurrently and paying close attention to detail
  • 3+ years of experience interpreting DOT rules and regulations
  • 3+ years of experience interpreting FMCSA rules and regulations
  • 3+ years of experience interpreting WSDOT rules and regulations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that required problem solving and analytical skills
  • 3+ years of experience interacting with business partners and customers
  • 3+ years of experience using professional written and verbal communication skills
