Door Manufacturing Associate

Position: Production Associate

Duties:

  • Assemble door units (interior or exterior) according to company standards and customer specifications
  • Operate woodworking machinery and tools (saws, nail guns, routers, drills, sanders, measuring tapes)
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or job specifications for door type, size, material, and hardware requirements
  • Cut, fit, and fasten door components, including jambs, frames, sills, stops, and trim pieces
  • Install glass inserts, sidelights, weatherstripping, and thresholds as required
  • Attach hinges, locks, handles, and other hardware to doors or frames using hand and power tools
  • Inspect doors and components for defects or damage before and after assembly
  • Sand, seal, or finish door surfaces if required (depending on production line setup)
  • Label and prepare finished doors for packaging or shipment

Shifts: Day: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm, 8:30am to 5pm (TO BE DETERMINED)

Compensation: $22 to $24 per hour (depending on experience)

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Door shop experience asset but willing to train the right person
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of times, and bending and crouching
  • Ability to safely lift, carry and position doors, frames and materials (often 50, sometimes more with assistance)
  • Ability to handle tools, hardware, and small components precisely and safely
  • Ability to read measurements defects and ensure proper fit and finish of assembled doors
  • Able to maintain consistent work speed and quality throughout an entire shift
