A typical day for a Framing Apprentice involves assisting experienced framers in building and assembling wall, floor, and roof frames, reading blueprints, measuring materials, and handling tools and equipment. Apprentices often start their mornings reviewing job plans and safety protocols, then work alongside crews on residential or commercial sites, sometimes outdoors in various weather conditions. Collaboration is key; you'll regularly coordinate with carpenters, supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure each phase of construction is completed accurately and on schedule.
