Overview

The Senior Manager, Marketing - Fragrance operates as the NA business owner within the US Brand Marketing team; with accountability for brands performance, marketing strategy development, budget management, and execution for the Juicy Couture Brand and all assigned Prestige Fragrance franchises. The role owns key aspects of the business end-to-end and brings a clear strategic point of view to brand and portfolio decisions.

This role sits within the broader NA portfolio framework and translates portfolio priorities into brand-level strategy and results.

The Senior Manager reports directly to the Senior Marketing Director, and partners closely with Integrated Marketing Communication Team, Trade Marketing, Sales, Education & Merchandising and Global Marketing to drive commercial performance and brand equity for the Fragrance portfolio. This role manages key relationships across partners and can serve as a back-up for Sandra when out or where needed to ensure continuity in decision-making and execution.

This is a deliberately focused role - scoped to enable deep channel ownership, faster decision-making, and full accountability for the portfolio. The Senior Manager owns the Fragrance marketing budget end-to-end for the allocated portfolio, from annual planning and allocation through in-market investment decisions and ROI tracking. This position is architected around execution excellence and channel mastery within a clearly defined scope, with responsibility for proactive problem solving and shaping strategy within the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy & Business Ownership

  • Own the full US marketing strategy for Juicy Couture & Prestige Fragrances, from annual planning through in-market execution, with accountability for portfolio performance and business results.
  • Serve as the primary US business owner of the portfolio - accountable for commercial performance, brand positioning, portfolio health, and bringing a clear strategic point of view to business decisions and trade-offs.
  • Develop and manage annual marketing plans, including budget allocation, channel priorities, investment choices, and ROI targets, while proactively identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Provide strategic leadership on pricing, forecasting, innovation pipeline, and new product feasibility for the allocated portfolio, making recommendations grounded in business performance and consumer insight.

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Lead the development and execution of 360 launch plans for Juicy Couture and the Prestige portfolio, partnering with IMC cross-functional teams (Digital/Social, PR/Influencer, Media, E-commerce, Retail Experience) to ensure alignment to brand strategy and commercial objectives.
  • Manage key relationships with Trade Marketing and lead retail strategy recommendations that drive sell-through, proactively solve business challenges, and maximize in-market impact for the portfolio.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination with the Retail Execution team to ensure the brands are compellingly represented across fixtures and event activities, identifying and resolving risks proactively before they impact execution.
  • Own support for new door openings and retailer launches with bespoke Fragrance marketing programs tailored by channel, customer, and business need.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the Prestige Fragrance category lead in cross-functional meetings and planning processes, representing the business with a clear point of view and informed recommendations.
  • Manage key relationships with Sales partners to shape bespoke strategies by retailer and channel for the portfolio and align decisions to commercial priorities.
  • Lead partnership with Education & Merchandising to ensure Fragrance storytelling is consistent across all consumer touch points and aligned to strategic brand priorities and business objectives.
  • Own cross-functional alignment, proactively problem solve to remove barriers, and serve as a back-up for Sandra when out or where needed to maintain continuity in decisions, priorities, and execution.

Consumer, Category & Competitive Intelligence

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of the US Fragrance competitive landscape in Prestige, identifying threats, opportunities, and white space.
  • Leverage consumer insights, Circana data, and retail performance data to form a clear point of view, develop strategic recommendations, and proactively course-correct as needed.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against KPIs; synthesize findings into clear recommendations and present business implications and proposed actions to senior leadership.
  • Communicate US Prestige Fragrance market needs to Global Marketing teams; ensure US requirements are reflected in global planning.

Qualifications:

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in brand marketing or marketing management, with demonstrated ownership of a product category, business franchise, or comparable scope of responsibility.
  • Experience in beauty, personal care, fragrance, or luxury consumer goods preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute 360 marketing plans independently, from strategic planning through in-market activation, with sound judgment and a clear point of view.
  • Strong analytical skills; experience with Circana, retail performance data, and consumer insights.
  • Collaborative working style with demonstrated ability to manage key cross-functional relationships and influence teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively problem solve, navigate ambiguity, and operate as a trusted back-up or delegate for senior leadership when needed.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial planning and volume forecasting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with luxury/prestige retail channels (Department Stores, Specialty, Amazon/Pure Players).
  • Experience working with global brand teams and translating global strategy for the US market.
  • Experience marketing in the prestige beauty / fragrance category.

Core Competencies

  • Strategic thinking, strong point of view & category leadership
