As an ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 certified regional design and collaborative manufacturing firm, we serve clients in the medical device, consumer product, transportation, and defense markets. Services include product management, research and development, industrial design, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, embedded system development, app development, prototyping, FDA & regulatory guidance, global supply chain management, in house and off shore technical and clean room assembly, warranty repair service, quality assurance, and 3PL logistics and inventory control.
About You:
As an experience accounting professional, your job will be to oversee and personally manage all aspects of our accounting and business administration systems. This role is both hands on and strategic, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of the company's financial operations while supporting leadership with data-driven insights and modeling.
You'll manage accounting workflows, HR processes, project audits, and ERP data accuracy, playing a pivotal role in shaping operational excellence and financial health across the organization. As a company well positioned for rapid growth we are open to a potential range of experience and interest ranging from controller, to accounting manger, to hires with their sights on strategic director or CFO level positions.
Main Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management
  • Oversee and perform all accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing.
  • Learn, maintain, and optimize the company's ERP accounting system to ensure accurate, real-time financial data.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and budget variance reports.
  • Manage cost accounting for both engineering and manufacturing projects and support quoting and pricing models.
  • Coordinate with external CPA for year-end tax filings and audits.

Operational Oversight & ERP Management
  • Own the company's ERP workflows, ensuring integration between accounting, project management, inventory, and operations.
  • Implement and refine process automation and data integrity practices across departments.
  • Conduct project-based financial audits to confirm accuracy of job costing, time tracking, and inventory valuation.

Human Resources & Compliance
  • Oversee payroll, employee onboarding/offboarding, and benefits administration.
  • Ensure HR compliance (W-2, 1099, PTO tracking, and employment regulations).
  • Maintain secure employee records and coordinate with benefit providers and brokers.

Strategic Planning & Analysis
  • Support leadership in business modeling, scenario planning, and growth strategies.
  • Develop financial dashboards and KPI tracking to guide operational decisions.
  • Manage special financial projects such as capital planning, financing, and government reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally within a manufacturing or project-based business.
  • Proficiency in ERP or accounting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
  • Proven ability to streamline workflows and manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
