  • Design circuits incorporating microprocessors, microcontrollers, DSPs, embedded hardware, and communications interfaces.
  • Develop schematics, component libraries, and supporting design documentation using ECAD tools such as OrCAD, Allegro, Altium, or similar platforms.
  • Perform hands‑on hardware bring‑up, debugging, validation, and troubleshooting using appropriate laboratory equipment.
  • Research component datasheets, specifications, and technical documentation to select robust, manufacturable hardware solutions.
  • Collaborate with FPGA, embedded software, mechanical, systems, and manufacturing engineering teams to deliver integrated products.
  • Support design‑for‑manufacturability, verification, validation, production transition, and ongoing product improvements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to future hardware architecture and engineering decisions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across hardware development efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Senior‑level experience designing digital and mixed‑signal electronic systems.
  • Expertise in digital hardware design, schematic capture, and PCB development.
  • Strong knowledge of microprocessor, microcontroller, DSP, and embedded hardware architectures.
  • Experience using OrCAD, Allegro, Altium, or similar ECAD platforms for schematic capture and component library development.
  • Strong understanding of communication interfaces and protocols, including Ethernet, SPI, I²C, UART, and related technologies.
  • Hands‑on experience with hardware bring‑up, debugging, validation, and troubleshooting using laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to interpret datasheets, component specifications, and technical documentation to develop reliable hardware solutions.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple hardware development projects from concept through manufacturing.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with mechanical, FPGA, software, and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status; visa sponsorship is not available.
