Isolatek International was established in 1875 as a manufacturer of mineral wool and today is a global leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of proprietary Passive Fire Resistive Materials for steel protecting commercial, industrial, petrochemical and tunnel projects.

Job Description:

Main functions: Develop an understanding of the foundry process. Foundry Process Operators will utilize this understanding to control, measure, and document cupola operating conditions. Successful Foundry Process Operators will safely monitor and control the two cupola furnaces and manufacture mineral wool for use in fireproofing materials. Hourly furnace measurements, molten stream adjustments, process adjustments, and periodic tapping of furnaces is a requirement for Foundry Process Operators.

Requirements:

Must have knowledge of cupola/blast furnace manufacturing operations

•Must adhere to PPE requirements to ensure safe operating conditions and must comply with all safety policies and regulations.

•Detail-oriented and have critical thinking abilities

•Be able to work independently or as a team

•Be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer

•Ability to use, repair, and maintain machines and tools

•Ability to stand and hold 40+ pound parts and lift them to shoulder level height

•Willing to work in hot environment


Preferred:

 

Knowledge of the production of mineral fiber

•2-4 years of experience with cupola/blast furnace operations

•High school diploma/GED equivalency

•2-4 years of experience with fork lift and front end loader

The base salary $26.00 per hour range represents the anticipated $54,080 per year range for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, actual compensation may vary and will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to, the applicant’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors. Isolatek reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on company and personal performance.
