Hiring Opportunity: Delaware OH
Our client is an American Cast Iron Foundry carrying a long history of producing high-quality gray and ductile iron castings. They boast only a 2.5% turnover rate.
The Pattern Maintainer will be in charge of creating and maintaining patterns used in the metal casting process.
Basic Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair wood molds.
- Inspect patterns and molds to identify defects and wear.
- Perform repairs on broken or damaged patterns, templates, or molds.
- Smooth surfaces of molds using tools like scrapers or sandpaper.
- Ensure proper dimensional allowances are made to account for factors like metal contraction during cooling.
Qualifications:
- Background in woodworking or carpentry.
- Knowledge of and ability to use power tools.
- Past pattern making experience preferred.
- Understanding of foundry/metal pouring process.
