Position Overview:


The Company is looking for a full-time Foundation Designer to add to the team located in Houston. We are looking for an ambitious candidate that is proficient using AutoCAD and knowledgeable with both Post-Tension and conventional (rebar) slab design. This person must have previous structural design experience ideally in the residential sector.


Requirements

  • 3+ years previous foundation design experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Prepare structural foundation plans for mainly residential structures using architectural drawings with limited to no supervision
  • Ability to read and interpret residential architectural blueprints
  • Familiarity with PTI slab analysis software
  • Concrete experience outside of Texas is a plus
  • Familiarity with survey plans, plot plans and geotechnical report
  • Familiarity in building codes a plus
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to compute percentages, and to perform basic algebra and geometry
  • Willingness to work long days and weekends as required
  • A team-oriented, proactive and adaptable work ethic

Work Schedule:

Generally Monday - Friday day shift, however additional hours, including weekend hours, may be required in accordance with changing business needs.
