Job description

House of Possibilities (HOPe) seeks a Foundations & Corporate Giving Manager to join our Advancement team. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Manager will play an important role in supporting HOPe's mission by researching, cultivating, and securing philanthropic support from corporations, foundations, and institutional partners. Part of a four-person team with a big agenda, they must be adaptable and flexible, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

Position Purpose 

The Foundation & Corporate Giving Manager plays a pivotal role in strengthening House of Possibilities (HOPe)’s mission by researching, identifying, and securing financial support from corporations, foundations, and institutional partners. This position is responsible for diversifying and growing HOPe's funding streams to achieve ambitious annual and long-term philanthropy goals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

The following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities; other duties may be assigned as required.


  • Grant Management: Research, identify, and solicit institutional funding opportunities. Manage the full grant lifecycle, including cultivating relationships with foundation staff, drafting and submitting Letters of Inquiry (LOIs), detailed grant proposals, and required grant reports.

  • Corporate Partnerships: Develop and execute comprehensive corporate fundraising strategies, including securing event sponsorships (such as for Big Night Out), exploring cause marketing initiatives, managing workplace giving campaigns, and creating meaningful employee engagement opportunities.

  • Pipeline Management: Track and manage the corporate and grant pipeline within Salesforce to ensure data integrity, timely follow-up, and consistent revenue growth.

  • Stewardship: Manage stewardship activities for the assigned portfolio; produce regular updates and impact reports for both internal leadership and external partners to fulfill grant reporting and donor relations requirements.

  • Collaboration: Partner closely with the rest of the Advancement team to align corporate and foundation initiatives with HOPe's strategic organizational goals and mission.


The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of nonprofit development experience and be ready to help diversify and grow HOPe’s funding streams to achieve ambitious annual and long-term philanthropy goals. Demonstrated experience with institutional funders is important. Their passion for working in a mission-driven environment should come through in how they build connections with a variety of stakeholders. Excellent writing skills and the ability to make a compelling case for support are essential. Time and project management skills will be important. A team player with an eye for detail, the Manager will also support corporate volunteer activities. A Bachelor's degree is required.
